Nilotic

So, we thank you for taking the time to read part one of our origin story. From this side of the equator and the Nile basin, we would like to wish you all the happiest of holidays!...
As the Christmas holidays draw closer to us and we get to meet up with our families and loved ones, the times for tales and stories tend to come to mind. Our cultures differ over this universal holiday but allow us to tell you the tale of coffee as it is our culture to regale our guests and families with our beginnings over the holidays.
Our coffee at Nilotic Coffee House is grown in the Nilotic region of East Africa and it is famously known for its bold, full-bodied flavour and rich, complex aromas. The region is home to some of the highest-quality coffee beans in the world, including some of the most sought-after speciality coffees.
The Nilotic region includes countries such as Ethiopia, Kenya, and Uganda, which are all known for their exceptional coffee. The unique climate and soil conditions of the region, combined with the traditional techniques used by local farmers, contribute to the high quality of the coffee produced there.
Ethiopia is considered the birthplace of coffee, and it is still one of the largest producers of coffee in the world. The Nilotic region of Uganda however, has a unique climate and soil conditions that contribute to the high quality of its coffee. The region is known for its high altitudes and cool temperatures, which can help to enhance the flavours of the coffee. In addition, the traditional techniques used by local farmers also contribute to the high quality of the coffee produced in the region.
Ugandan coffee is typically processed using the wet or washed method, which involves removing the outer layers of the coffee cherry to reveal the beans inside. This method helps to preserve the flavours of the coffee and results in a clean, bright cup of coffee.
Overall, coffee from the Nilotic region of East Africa is some of the finest in the world and is highly sought after by coffee lovers for its unique and complex flavours. If you are a coffee connoisseur, be sure to try some of the exceptional coffee from this region.
So, we thank you for taking the time to read part one of our origin story. From this side of the equator and the Nile basin, we would like to wish you all the happiest of holidays! Catch you again next Friday for the second and maybe (we’ll let you decide, fingers crossed) the last part of our origin story. Remember to sip coffee and stay frosty!
