Settling for this for the foreseeable future.

Two weeks back I went ahead to try coffee unlike the usual offerings. I ordered this which is from Uganda and two other brands from Ethiopia which is another African coffee power house. They all turned out good but this stood out among all other types of coffee I have ever had. I will hate to see my friend who recommended it to say "I told you!" as I know they will but I will let this one slide because gosh where have you been all my life! Can't recommend it enough. If it were a TV show it would be Breaking Bad...GOATed!

Tale of Two Coffee Machines

After the initial attempt to brew this coffee, I was prepared to give this Ugandan Coffee a low rating. It was brewed in Oklahoma with my mother’s Senseo Coffee machine, which applies pressure to a pod, resulting in a hearty/foamy brew. Not sure the attached photo shows how light the actual brew was, but it was unacceptably weak for all who tried it. I brought those same Ugandan beans back home to Arizona, brewed them in an inexpensive Mr. Coffee machine and my coffee loving son, who was among the disappointed Oklahomans, raved about the flavor. I will say, that I added a couple of extra scoops in light of the Okie brewing debacle. In the end, this might simply be a case of “wrong machine for the bean.” Based on a coffee lover’s opinion, these beans make for a splendid cup of Joe.
